Seoul Journey is a tableau-building game where you will play highlights and delights, while going shopping and encountering some Guardians.

Choose to play one day (a day trip), two days (a weekend adventure) or three days (a full K-culture experience)!

Then choose a trending color: the player who played the most of this color scores points.

On your turn you will explore the city with two actions: one, is Book. When Booking, you will play a card from your hand to your tableau. Highlights are formed left to right, Delights are attached to Highlights – above for Festivals and below for Food. Shopping and Guardian cards are played to the side.

Experience takes cards from the City and you must play one of them. Sometimes these cards are hidden, giving you surprises. After an Experience, you refill the City with facedown cards.

 

When someone has played their 9th card they get a Nightlife token and trigger the end of the day. All players have one more turn. Of course, if you play too many Highlights that are tiring, you will not have the energy for the nightlife, and thus not get the token – but you’ll still trigger the end of the day.

Score your tableau: highlights have special scoring. Food is worth 6 for every pair you have. Festivals score on having 1, 2, 3 of the same color. Shopping cards are also set collectors and there are three types of Shopping cards: Traditional, Modern, and Plushes. Guardians score if you did not use their power and are able to place their token on a matching colored Highlight.

If playing multiple days, score then reshuffle all but Guardian cards in players’ tableaus.

At end of the game, score as normal and add points from any unused Nightlife tokens.
